Description
This simple minimalist sofa was made by FDB (est. 1896) Denmark’s longstanding cooperative of home goods producers. Since the 1950s, they have been recognized, both in the design world and Danish households, for their creative furniture studio which housed a generation of iconic architects and furniture designers, such as Poul Volther, Børge Mogensen and Ejvind A. Johansson. The shape of the piece corresponds closely to earlier Børge Mogensen designs, when he was a head manager of FDB. The entire structure is original, only new grey wool upholstery was added and new foam into cushions. Oak frame was refinished with layers of oils.
